Sharpen its look
Your Jaguar is finally emerging from a long winter where it faced snow, ice, sleet, freezing temperatures, and road salt. Treat it to a thorough spring cleaning inside and out, and top it off with a fresh coat of wax. By doing so, you’ll remove any salty residue that can lead to rust and corrosion while ridding the interior of any long-term cosmetic damage caused by moisture being tracked into the cabin.
Improve its performance
You likely had your heater running a lot lately, so your radiator fluid may be on the low side. You’ll need that to be topped off with warmer weather (and the subsequent air conditioning) right around the corner.
Cold weather takes a toll on car batteries, so have yours checked before you find yourself stranded. Spring is also a good time for an oil change as cold weather causes oil to thicken and engine sludge to build up.
Increase your safety
Your windshield wipers just worked hard scraping away snow and ice, so it’s a good idea to replace the blades in time for the spring rains. Cold temperatures can also cause cracks in brake rotors, so it’s never a bad idea to have your brakes inspected in the spring.
Lastly, check your tire pressure and consider a tire rotation. Tire pressure drops in the cold, so many people find themselves with inadequate tire pressure come spring.
